ACFT Scoring Explained (2026)
The ACFT uses a 600-point scale—six events, each worth up to 100 points. Your raw performance (weight, distance, reps, or time) is converted using Army grading tables keyed to age group and gender.
The six events and what is measured
- MDL — Maximum weight for three deadlift repetitions (trap bar).
- SPT — Best of two throws, measured in meters.
- HRP — Correct repetitions in two minutes.
- SDC — Total time for the 5×25-meter course.
- PLK — Longest valid forearm plank hold.
- 2MR — Two-mile run time on a measured course.
Minimum vs maximum performance
For each demographic, the Army publishes performance values that equal 60 points (pass floor) and 100 points (maximum for that group). Values between are interpolated on the official scorecard.
Why you can fail with a high total
If any single event falls below 60 points, you fail the ACFT—even if your sum exceeds 360. That is why event balance matters more than excelling in only deadlift and run.
